About Milly

A voice that

defined a culture.

Milly Quezada is not only "The Queen of Merengue"; she is living history. The voice that transformed a genre into identity, taking Dominican Merengue from the heart of the Caribbean to the world's most prestigious stages. What began as music is now legacy.

A multiple Latin Grammy Award winner and recipient of the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award, her career has been recognized by the most influential platforms in Latin music, including Billboard, Premio Lo Nuestro, ASCAP, and Premios Soberano—where she received the highest honor, El Gran Soberano. In 2025, Billboard named her one of the 50 Greatest Latin Artists of All Time, the only Dominican artist on that historic list.

A global pioneer of Merengue, she made history in Japan in 1990 and 1991 as the first artist of the genre to conquer that stage, paving the way for new generations and taking the rhythm beyond all borders.

Her cultural impact extends beyond music: she was awarded the Presidential Medal of Honor from Hostos Community College, one of the highest distinctions granted to individuals of exceptional legacy.

Her career has spanned generations, evolving without ever losing its essence.

Milly Quezada doesn't just perform Merengue—she defines it.
